Ages: 7 & up.

Levels: Beginner students who are trying circus for the first time; AND, Intermediate to Advanced students wanting to work on skills.

Description: Summer Circus Camp is a fun, safe, supportive and challenging environment where children explore the many skills that create the Circus Arts. Circus Day Camp allows each child to develop self-confidence, self-esteem, physical awareness and an understanding of the potential they possess.

Skills taught may include: trapeze, acrobatics, clowning, juggling, stilt walking, gym wheel, rolling globe, tight wire, rolla bolla, aerial arts.

Students enrolled will get to share their excitement and skill with family and friends at the end of the week in a show!

Payment: CircEsteem’s 2013 Summer Camp costs $300 for the one-week session. A non-refundable $100 deposit is required at the time of registration. The balance is due before the first day of camp. Children with outstanding payments will not be allowed to participate at camp.

Before & After Care: Before care is offered at 8:30am, the cost is $10. After care is offered until 5:00pm, the cost is $20.

Lunch: Campers must bring their own lunches. A refrigerator and microwave are available. Children should also bring a beverage. Bringing a bottle of water is highly recommended, as the daily activities are physically demanding.

Attire and personal belongings: Campers should wear clothing that is easy to move in and appropriate for being upside down. Gym shoes and socks are necessary for some circus activities. Wear or bring both every day. Jewelry is not allowed because it can easily get lost, damaged, or cause injury when snagged and pulled off the body inadvertently. CircEsteem is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings. It is recommended that valuables be left at home.

Discounts – It’s Simple. We have a 20% Family Multi-Class Discount. ONLY the most expensive tuition in your immediate family pays full fare; all lesser tuitions are discounted 20%.

Example 1: Lisa takes multiple classes. Her 1st class is $325, her 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. are $260 – 20% off the first class.

Example 2: Lisa and her brother Bart both take 1-hour classes. Lisa’s 1st class is $325, Bart’s 1st class is $260. Lisa’s 2nd, 3rd, etc. classes are each $260; Bart’s 2nd, 3rd, etc. classes are each $260 – a 20% discount across the board.

Example 3: Lisa takes 1 full-fare class at $325. Bart’s 1st class is $260. Their little sister Maggie’s Tots class costs $200 instead of $250 – again, 20% off.

Example 4: Maggie takes 1 Tots class at $250. Her twin sister Margie’s Tots class costs $200 instead of $250.

Sliding Scale – CircEsteem wants to make circus available to all students regardless of financial means. To serve this mission, we offer at least 1/3 of the spots in each class to Scholarship and Sliding Scale participants, assuming there are enough full-paying students to cover the expenses associated with running the class.
