CircEsteem, founded in 2001, is a non-profit youth circus with a mission of uniting youth from diverse backgrounds and building self-esteem and mutual respect through the practice of circus arts. Program Coordinator

Part Time Position – 18 hrs/week

CircEsteem is looking for a Program Coordinator who will work closely with the Program Director and Operations Director to execute applicable programs including circus coaching, program infrastructure; personnel management; program promotion and events, and various administrative tasks as needed in accordance with CircEsteem’s mission, values and charter.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Minors
  • Circus Coaching
  • Program Coordinating
  • CircEsteem Liaison to Partnering Schools and Organizations
  • Compliance with DFSS, MMI and CircEsteem Intake and Tracking Processes and Recruitment
  • Scheduling & Staffing
  • Other Administrative tasks

Qualifications

  • College-level education
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Close attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn WordPress, iClassPro online registration software, Quickbooks Online, and Constant Contact.
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced and shared small office

Additional qualifications – preferred, but not required

  • Driver’s License / Access to a vehicle
  • Experience working with youth or in a non profit setting
  • Photography and/or video editing skills
  • Spanish Proficiency
  • Willingness to try new things

Technical Director

Part Time Position – 5-10 hrs/week as needed

CircEsteem is looking for a Technical Director who will work closely with the Program Director and Operations Director to to set up and maintain circus equipment for youth classes, camps, and performances.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintenance of circus equipment
  • Operate, maintain, and safeguard the technical assets of the organization, including circus, lighting, sound, and communications equipment
  • Coordinate and oversee load-in and strike of summer camp
  • Keep inventory organized
  • Minor repairs/maintenance of 2 vans
  • Monitor the condition of equipment including lighting, sound, and rigging equipment; arrange for the repair and replacement within budgetary constraints; perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Attend technical rehearsals, in order to supervise and assist in the technical aspects of each show

Qualifications

  • Highly organized
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Close attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive
  • Experienced with rigging
