Summary:
CircEsteem’s mission is to unite youth across all backgrounds and identities by fostering self-esteem and mutual respect through the practice and performance of the circus arts. CircEsteem promotes the development of self-esteem, personal success, and empowerment by (i) promoting the practice of circus arts; (ii) uniting youth from diverse backgrounds; (iii) providing social and emotional skill-building; (iv) providing youth opportunities to participate in leadership training which results in paid opportunities throughout their participation with CircEsteem.

The Program Manager’s essential job function is to ensure program quality, manage personnel, promote CircEsteem programs and events, and perform various administrative tasks as needed. The Program Manager will act as the representative and point person between various programs for students, parents, vendors, and community partners.

Duties Include:

  • Work with Program Coordinators across all northside and westside CircEsteem programming on program logistics, including outreach, enrollment, grant reporting, etc.
  • In collaboration with the Program Director, develop and oversee the implementation of the program vision.
  • Supervise Program Coordinators: maintain schedules, approve paid time off requests, ensure time-sheet accuracy, and hold one informal and one formal evaluation with program coordinators.
  • Collect appropriate program data and file it accordingly at the request of the Program Director.
  • In collaboration with the Program Director, modify the CircEsteem curriculum as needed.
  • In collaboration with the Program Director and Program Coordinators, analyze program efficacy and mission alignment.
  • In collaboration with the Program Coordinators, collect and analyze youth self-assessments.
  • Create systems for managing youth behavior issues in collaboration with the Program Director.
  • Support coordinators with stakeholder communication throughout the program year.
  • Visit programs at least once weekly to observe program quality and effectiveness.
  • Attend program events and sessions as needed in support of the program’s partnership with the school.
  • Check in with Program Coordinators weekly to thoroughly discuss program overview.
  • Manage CE event operations and systems for the programs team to ensure strong integration.
  • Ensure data collection, reporting, and registration is accurate and on time.
  • Plan and lead Program Team meetings.
  • Plan and co-lead program team professional development/team alignment sessions.
  • Participate in CircEsteem staff meetings and trainings.

Compensation:
Salary Range:
$48,000-$55,000
Benefits: Contributions toward a 403b retirement account or Health Insurance Plan
Paid Time Off: 15 days paid leave, 5 days paid sick leave

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of team leadership experience
  • LCSW preferred
  • Fluent writing and speaking Spanish preferred
  • Flexible with constantly changing situations
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Team player and collaborator
  • Independent, critical thinker who has the ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to positively communicate with co-workers, administration, parents, youth, and referring agencies
