Academic Enrichment and Circus Fun!
Description
HomeWork & CircusWork (HWCW) is a FREE after-school tutoring and circus arts program that focuses on teamwork, learning about consent, building resilience, and growing confidence within a safe space for all students. At HWCW, CircEsteem employs tutors who will support your student’s academic development by assisting them with homework and offering additional educational enrichment activities.
Once homework is completed, students will spend the remaining time with our professional Teaching Artists. During this session, students focus on personal development through playing group games and learning social circus activities, including juggling, tight wire walking, acrobatics, stilt walking, hula hooping, plate spinning, jump roping, spinning diabolo, clowning, and more!

Locations
Uptown Headquarters
Ages: 8 - 16 years old
Start: September 21st, 2026. Program runs through May 2027.
Time: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 3pm - 5:30pm
Location: CircEsteem Headquarters, 4730 N. Sheridan
Price: Free
During each session, CircEsteem provides healthy snacks, donated by the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
Van transportation is available within select service area.

Gage Park
Open to youth attending CPS, residing in Gage Park
Ages: 5th - 8th grade students
Fall 26/27: September, 21st to December 18th.
Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Full after school program including HWCW, dance, arts & crafts, soccer, and more!
Ages: K - 8
